The Intermezzo Chamber Players are conservatory trained professionals who have performed with the Boston Pops, Colonial, Wang Center, and Schubert Theater Orchestras, Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra, Indian Hill Orchestra, New Hampshire Philharmonic, Rhode Island Philharmonic, Boston Lyric Opera and Handel & Haydn. We have extensive experience performing as soloists, string duos, trios, and quartets. We have played at hundreds of weddings, receptions, and private functions in Greater Boston, Cape Cod, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Maine, and Connecticut.
Beth Welty (violin) is Intermezzo's managing member. Beth received her Bachelor and Master's degrees in violin performance from Indiana University, where she was a student of Yuval Yaron. She also holds an Artist Dipoma in chamber music from the prestigeous Longy School of Music. Beth is the assistant principal second violinist with the Springfield Symphony Orchestra in Massachusetts, and serves as concertmaster of both the Nashua Chamber Orchestra and the Waltham Symphony Orchestra. She has performed abroad with various organizations, touring Italy with the Chorus of Westerly and South Africa with the London Chamber Players. She toured Spain twice as concertmaster of the Massachusetts Symphony. In 2014, she traveled to Switzerland to perform a solo recital, and in 2015 did a five concert tour of England with the Aryaloka String Quartet. An avid chamber musician, Beth is a founding member of both the Kaleidoscope Chamber Ensemble and the Aryaloka String Quartet.
